Database Design and Administration
Management Information Systems (MIS) is the study of the design, implementation, management and use of information technology applications in organizations.
Class Information
In Fall Term 2004/2005, COMM 437 Section 101 will be taught by Mr. William Tan.

Classes will meet in HA 413 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Start date is Sep 6, 2003 and end date is Dec 3, 2004.

Please expect at least one business day turnaround time for emails sent to the instructor.

 
Tutorials
There are NO formal tutorials in the PC Lab for COMM 437.

This is a course for advanced MIS students and students are assumed to be comfortable working through the exercises on their own.

For those who have never programmed before, it is highly recommended that you take COMM337 Introduction to Business Programming first or at least concurrently with this course.

Non-Commerce students (e.g. students from Computer Science) are to obtain a logon ID for the Main PC Lab as soon as possible before classes commence.

Access to all course resources will be through the WebCT server accessible through the e-learning at UBC site

Your userid and password will be given to you on the first day of class.
